MtE's #WCW Lydia Caesar
May 3, 2017

Several years ago I was doing some work with a friend and while working with them I learned about a beautiful and vivacious singer, songwriter named Lydia Caesar. Today MtE Media wants to celebrate Miss Caesar (who is actually a Mrs. lol) as our Woman Crush Wednesday!
From her blond high-lit mane, to her coke bottle frame, to her funky style and best of all her AMAZING VOICE, I am a fan. Lydia is a Queens, NY native, but her love is a St. Louis native who has grown roots here in NYC. After getting married, the couple moved back to her husband's hometown in St. Louis but for her time here she has been blazing the indie music scene while making major moves into mainstream!
Lydia has graced all the major stages here in New York including SOB's and BB Kings and in her time settling into St. Louis she has been showing then what that NYC artist life is all about. If it's a dope spot known for "SANGAS," she has likely blessed the mic and the crowds with her full belt, warm tone, wide range and unique raspiness. Her songs are tales of love, of life, of triumph and victory. They never fail to touch you where it counts every time.
Now ready to drop her sophomore album, Lydia is back home for a short stint and giving Brooklyn a live set of new music and amazing energy. The lead single, "Walking Away" is so heartfelt and you can hear it on SoundCloud, Spotify, download it via iTunes or wherever else music is sold!

Thursday, May 18th she will be headlining live at Milk River with a few of her musical friends - Tréi Stella aka Tiffany Stevenson, Berry Boo, and Eliza Brielle. Hosted by another favorite of mine, Ron Faison, the show promises to be a musical treat and I will be right there to enjoy. I want you to come out as well and support this awesome artist, mother, wife, sister friend and Philanthropist. A portion of the proceeds of each ticket will benefit The Veronica Morris Foundation. Named after her grandmother, the foundation services women and children in need.
For tix you can click HERE. And make sure you come out and support this sister. I promise if you do and she's not already, she will be YOUR #WCW too! Also, follow her on social!
