Happy Holidays Shining Starrs! I pray that you are all enjoying this festive time of year in whatever way that you celebrate it, and that you are also using this time (if you don't already do so) to connect or reconnect with friends, family, loved ones and peers/colleagues.
I am always elated about this time of year, more so as a Christmas Baby. Friday, December 23rd is my birthday and I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that I am going to be 38. There are so many things I feel I would have and should have accomplished by this age, that I have yet to even tap into. BUT as my close friends and family, and especially my mom remind me, there are so many things that I have done and am in the process of doing. So wallowing in what hasn't happened robs me of the chance to celebrate what I have accomplished and what I'm in the process of doing now!
With that, I will be performing live for the third year in a row, for my birthday. This year I return to Milk River as a part of the lineup for their show The New Cotton. Created and produced by Daniel Mitchell (also known as writer, producer and entrepreneur Senator Skid), The New Cotton is a weekly Friday night, live event in Brooklyn, that brings out amazing artists and musicians for featured spots and promotes both the venue and the experience.
The New Cotton is going to be lit and I'm so excited to be a part, ESPECIALLY on my born day. So if you are in the NY Metro Area, please come rock with me! Doors open at 7pm, however it's a restaurant as well and Happy Hour is actually from 5-8pm. LOL There is no cover for the event, however you MUST check your coat as they don't like outwear in the dining room. The food is great and the drinks are AWESOME, but the vibe is what really make it all dope! Reservations are STRONGLY encouraged!

Lastly my loves...let's remember that the holidays can be joyous, but it can also be a very lonely and difficult period for many people out there missing loved ones, not in a financial state to do what they want or would like to do for themselves or others this season, etc. So let's be sure to keep our emotional antennas up with our circles. #SupportCirclesMatter
