So often the conversations we have are about what we want, what others want from us, and the like. Well this week I want to encourage you and empower you to have another type of conversation.
I love a great affirmation. And I am totally a believer in the "fake it till you make it" mentality as it pertains to believing wholeheartedly the affirmations you speak. Confirming and affirming one's own self is a process. But if you understand that we frame our world by the words that we speak, then you will keep reading and find five affirmations to help you continue to be, and find your best you! They are not in any particular order, nor are they the sole source of your progress. But a little positive push never hurt anyone.
Be you a creative or not...be encouraged! Say these out loud and for even more of a positive challenge, write them down and assess how each pertains to you and any “stinking thinking” or negative commentary that you may have or have had in the past. Then figure out what you can or need to adjust to correct it.
☆ As is, I am great...but with time, focus, self love and a bit more inner work I will be unstoppable.
☆ "No" is a necessity if and for those times that "yes" will dilute my brand, dim my light, compromise my integrity, decrease my happy or upset my morality.
☆ My worth is not measured by any number of likes, followers, or "friends"–but by my work ethic, output and heart.
☆ I am admittedly my biggest critic, but I promise to humbly also become my biggest fan.
☆ The only encouragement that I seek is that which I provide myself. But I readily accept any other source which is genuine and crosses my path.
Now find a mirror, look into it and smile at the complete and utter awesomeness that is smiling back at you! Be gentle with yourself and speak positively and kindly to yourself. I promise when you make this a part of the fabric of your life, you are setting the precedence for how others will not only perceive you, but how they will speak to and treat you as well.
